As Hayton Travel College, we delivered classroom training through the 80s and 90s to airline personnel, travel agents and employees of many tourism and travel related companies as well as industry entrants with no previous experience of the Travel Business.
All our courses were developed by travel industry professionals, in conjunction with key travel industry bodies, associations and businesses. Hayton graduates can be found in all areas of the industry, many have now achieved executive status which broadens our feedback and ability to liaise with industry at decision making levels as well as all operations areas.
Our trainers and course developers have always been industry personnel whose extensive travel and training experiences are an integral part of the learning process.
With the advent of airline computer reservations, Hayton recognised that the industry’s “hands-on” reservations skills could be taught super effectively in an environment that exactly reproduces industry operations’ areas. So, in 1999, in partnership with a US based course developer, we initiated skills based interactive GDS and Fares training which soon developed into internet-based delivery and from 2014 we became an online only provider.
As Hayton Travel Training again we move through the 21st century as a leader in online delivery based on GDS skills which gives students the confidence and ability to apply for jobs and work effectively with Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo GDS.
Our associate companies: a Travel Agency and International Travel Sales and Marketing entities have extensive experience in Airline, Hotel, Car Rental and other travel product reservations and promotion, giving us broad knowledge and reach in the tourism space.
Hayton also supplies industry training to major airlines and travel companies in Australia and the South Pacific. Course graduates enter the industry with well-developed technical skills, leading to an easy and confident transition to the workplace. These skills are those of the global Travel and Tourism market which means graduates can be confident transferring the course skills into the local and global marketplace and with online graduates working in such far flung places as Outer Mongolia, Singapore, Dubai, Moscow, Israel and the United Kingdom, we continue to offer global skills and certification for the travel and tourism industry.
